So traffic was standing still today.
My car was literally on the same spot for 30 mins no caps. I was cranky, I was frustrated and I was exhausted. For someone who likes to move with speed, you can see how draining this kind of traffic could be.
To top it off, I hadn’t eaten all day.
I was beginning to get very uncomfortable, so I pulled off my wig. haa! cool breeze, even if was pungent lol.
As I was basking in the moment of temporary relief, I heard “aww, you are so tired, theĀ make-up looks incomplete without the wig, but I can’t imagine the stress, pele”
I turned my neck pe who dey speak abeg
I was stunned by this gorgeous looking ebony melanin popping plum lips guy. haa mo lost instantly.
but as a girl are our mumu no too much. so, I compose.
I remember his statement and I didn’t know if I should say thank you or not, because I knew there was a compliment in there or was there? so I just answered and said
“I can’t kill myself jare”
then he laughed.
and well the ice broke.
omo we were in traffic and gisting. When the traffic moves he finds a way to come up to ensure we were sideways.
We talked from makeup to fashion to the current economic crises to political problems to the family. It was a very nice chat. His wife was just laughing at our chat and making jest of us associating in traffic. but she gave in after the next hour and joined the conversation.
We talked about vocation, He the love for his job as a programmer with the stress and time it took while I spoke about my blog and pending fashion business. She promised to read my blog (if you get to read it, just know I am looking forward to your comments). She is a banker and an entrepreneur as well and we hit it off on how difficult it was to juggle the two and confessed that one always suffers.
That’s how he was like she stole his friend from him lol.
We got to the front line alas, they were taking right and I was taking left, the traffic ease up. Apparently, a loader truck’s content fell on the road.
In that short exchange, we only share Instagram handles, we all forgot phone numbers existed. lol, but it was a cool and weird way to make new friends.
They were cool. So was I.
